Artist's Impression of Ralph Boyce House - front and rear viewsCould you imagine never being able to go on holiday with your family again, ever? For disabled people and their families our charity stands alone in its mission to ensure that they can have a holiday no matter how severely disabled they are. The new house, which will be called Ralph Boyce House, after Lin Berwick's husband who co-founded The Lin Berwick Trust with her in 1989, will be built in the village of No Man's Land, near Looe in Cornwall . We received planning permission for this project in February 2010. The project will cost approximately £400,000. We need to raise £300,000 before we can start building!
We are the only organisation in the UK that provides such facilities. Both our existing properties (in Norfolk and Scotland) enjoy annual occupancies of over 40 weeks. We have more than 66% repeat bookings and annually we turn away over 50% of enquirers because we are fully booked. However, funding for such projects is difficult to come by as the therapeutic benefits of a holiday are often grossly underestimated. But you can make a difference. Our latest audited accounts show that we have a healthy balance sheet with no debts. In other words, your donation, no matter how small, will go straight to the project!
